The FAW open new facility in Newport...

The Football Association of Wales has opened the new facility in Newport, Wales. Boasting state of the art equipment, including four ECB Cold Spa units, the centre is intended to boost the nations football identity.

The FAW wanted the units in their own colours and using their own logos.

Dr. Travis Tries Cryotherapy

E.R. physician Dr. Travis Stork tries cryotherapy, which promises to reduce swelling, tissue breakdown, pain. The water needs to be a cool 50 degrees, and you’ll need to stay in the tub for 15 – 20 minutes to get the full effect.

ECB Cold Spa Supplying The FA

The FA's St Georges park finally opens...

Officially opened by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in October 2012, The FA's state of the art training facility is leading the way in sport technology.

The aim of the complex is to train to a higher level both coaches and players, by installing the very best equipment, including 3 ECB Ice Baths. 

The complex is based just outside Burton on Trent, Stafordshire, in over 330 acres of land. Boasting 11 football pitches (including indoors), a hydrotherapy suite, medical suites, gyms and ECB Ice Baths in two of the changing rooms. 

Training in the Ice Age

Training sessions for major sports events are gruelling. For mere mortals they can appear to be the pastime of superheroes.

"Cooling or recovery techniques used usually include more traditional methods such as massage, stretching sessions, steam baths, yoga and swimming. But many athletes now claim that plunging into a tub of ice water (about 6C) after exercise increases their rate of recovery and helps reduce muscle pain."

Moulton College install 2 ECB Ice Baths

Moulton College install 2 units at new facility...

Moulton College, Northamptonshire have just completed and opened to the public there Sports injury and rehabilitation centre.

This brand new, state-of-the-art centre is the first of its kind in the UK and only the second in Europe.

The centre's main aim is to become a centre of excellence in providing neuromuscular rehabilitation. This will be achieved by attracting professional clinicians, who are highly specialised in their chosen field, to use the centre's facilities. The centre comprises world class sports therapy and injury rehabilitation facilities which will be accessible to the clinician and client, to complement them in the rehabilitation journey.

They have installed two units in separate pool areas.
